To
stem the flow of reusable computer hardware, software, parts and
software guides and eventually other electronic products from ending
up in the landfills of our community & province and to do our part in
the fight against global warming to recycle, refurbish and reuse as
many components whenever possible to help protect the natural beauty of
the planet, the province and the nation as a whole.
To
promote education in the home environment of low-income families and
individuals through the use of computers and educational software.
To
promote employment, work ethic, empowerment and self-sufficiency by way of
transferable skills for youth 15-18 years of age and adults 19
and up with barriers to employment whether it be persons with varying
disabilities or just one who needs to fulfill an educational requirement
or gain experience that is needed to re-enter or enter the workforce for
the first time.
To
assist low income neighborhood's and persons eliminate poverty in their
lives and neighborhoods by providing meaningful employment that will in
turn create vibrant economically stable communities as a whole.
To
educate and empower the general public about the e-waste problem, its
dangers, and solutions.
To
assist the powers that be, in all three levels of government, manufacturers
and producers to create a comprehensive e-waste recycling, refurbishing
and reuse infrastructure municipally, provincially and federally.
To
continue to conduct research into better recycling, refurbishing, and
reuse methods and put them into practice as advances are made and
discovered.
To
promote computer literacy in the community at large through TFPG INC.
hosted information sessions and instruction.
To work closely and partner with community groups, non-governmental
organizations (NGO'S) governments, educational institutions and families,
individuals, domestic and international corporations and businesses who
can demonstrate corporate social and environmental responsibility within
the countries and communities they operate in
To
set an ethical standard in the province of Newfoundland & Labrador by
which electronic waste is Reused, Refurbished and Recycled.
To
help stop the flow of computer components and other forms Of E -Waste that
are unusable from ending up in developing countries causing damage to
people and their environment through unsafe recycling practices.
