WEBSITE NEWS!!

We have some very exciting news to announce as of March 17th 2009 we have attained the Status as Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher (MAR). We look forward to a long future as a Community MAR here in Newfoundland & Labrador. For Further Information please visit our our MAR Information Page at http://www.tfpgroup.org/communitymarinfopage.htm

Microsoft created the Community Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher (Community MAR) program to increase the number of usable PCs available to non-profits, schools, and low-income families across the globe. To accomplish this, organizations supply refurbishers with decommissioned PCs that may otherwise have been destined for a landfill. These PCs are refurbished by Community MARs and then preinstalled with genuine Microsoft software and made available to educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and disadvantaged individuals. To date, there are over 1,000 Community MARs in more than 60 countries around the world.

Local Focus

Located in St.John's, Newfoundland & Labrador. We are a local organization which started on May 28th 2005.and became incorporated on April 16th, 2008 which hopes to expand its operations throughout the province of Newfoundland & Labrador in the very near future.

What we do

What do we do? With computer technology being our primary focus we refurbish and recycle most full PC & Mac Systems and their  parts, manuals. software and other electronic devices for use by families and individuals who may meet our criteria.

If they do not already have a computer in their home, it can be demonstrated that they are in a financial situation that will not permit them to purchase a new system and they meet all other TFPG INC. criteria, we will supply them with computer technology for a very nominal fee of $65.00  to  $125.00 for a as depending on the system as well as the training to use them.

We are expanding our recycling and refurbishing and reuse mandate to include the majority of electronic products available on the market today in an effort to assist  various levels of government and non-governmental agencies to reduce the demand on our already strained landfill system by way of promoting its reuse, refurbishing & recycling to the general public through advertising, informational sessions, E-waste dump and runs similar to the hazardous waste drop programs promoted by the province currently once adequate facilities can be secured
