Local Focus

Located in St.John's, Newfoundland & Labrador. We are a local organization which started on May 28th 2005.and became incorporated on April 16th, 2008 which hopes to expand its operations throughout the province of Newfoundland & Labrador in the very near future.

What we do

What do we do? With computer technology being our primary  focus we refurbish and recycle most full PC & Mac Systems and their parts, manuals, software and other electronic devices for use by families and individuals who may meet our criteria.

If they do not already have a computer in their home, it can be demonstrated that they are in a financial situation that will not permit them to purchase a new system and they meet all other TFPG INC. criteria, we will supply them with computer technology for a very nominal fee of $75.00 to $150.00 depending on the system as well as the training to use them.

We are expanding our recycling and refurbishing and reuse mandate to include the majority of electronic products available on the market today in an effort to assist  various levels of government and non-governmental agencies to reduce the demand on our already strained landfill system by way of promoting its reuse, refurbishing,re-purposing & recycling to the general public through advertising,  informational sessions, E-waste dump and runs similar to the hazardous waste drop programs promoted by the province currently once adequate facilities can be secured.

Subedi family from Nepal becomes Technology For People Group Inc's first family to receive a refurbished PC under the Community Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher (MAR) program.

The Subedi family and Technology For People Group Inc's Executive Director Matthew Della Valle and his daughter Chantelle taking a moment together.

Like most refugees who come to Canada the Subedi family has had to endure a lot as a family to get where they are now. They have had to adjust to a new country, a new way of life and learn how to speak a new language and they are learning quite quickly I might add. They are becoming more skilled and proficient everyday and their newly refurbished PC will only serve to enhance their ability to do so and their quality of life. We were so touched and moved as a staff by how thankful they were we spent a few hours enjoying their hospitality, where we had some wonderful a tasty Nepalese cuisine. We were all so enriched as people after this experience it just felt so right if any family deserved one our refurbished PC's they did. They may not possess a lot of material wealth  but they however possess wealth of heart and spirit. They are as a family an inspiration we thank them for allowing us to be a part of that joy. • Do you love your community?
  • What to learn some new skills or improve on the ones you have?
  • Want to protect it?
  • Want to make it  better place?
  • Can you spare Little bit of your time, expertise and patience?
  • Volunteer Opportunities available. We need a few good human beings who are computer savvy, who know how to refurbish computer hardware, install software, build complete computer systems from the bottom up, and/or pick up donations.

Together, let us change the face of our province and communities by keeping previously used parts and components, manuals, disks and software, and all of those computer gadgets, out of the Landfills. It's about time we do something before it gets too far out of hand.

Volunteers are needed to help us with parts and software collection If you can donate your time to help us with pickups that would be very much appreciated.

It is with the greatest love and support that we dedicate this site to all those who work tirelessly and selflessly to make our wonderful planet a better place in which to live as every effort counts.
